HOW TWEET IS THIS ?

Ryanair to Offer Child-Free Flights. Real or April Fools Marketing Genius?

Yesterday Ryanair “officially” announced that they will start offering child-free flights starting in October. Is this real or another free-publicity tactic by Ryanair? Well, the catch is that Ryanair might be crazy enough to do this. However, the fact that it is April Fools day tomorrow, makes me suspect this might all be a ruse. Also take into account that they have a history of pulling April Fools jokes in the past, from providing moon flights, offering first class seating and selling porn on board, Ryanair has been a fun little jokster.

RYANAIR TO INTRODUCE ‘CHILD FREE’ FLIGHTS

Ryanair, the world’s favourite airlines, today announced that it will introduce ‘Child Free’ flights from October (winter schedule) after a Europe-wide survey of 1,000 passengers showed that half would pay higher fares to avoid other people’s children. The survey showed that a third of passengers (36%) have had flights ‘ruined’ by other people’s noisy kids with one in five passengers (18%) urging Ryanair to restrict the number of children on flights.

While the survey found that passengers would prefer to avoid other people’s children, it placed ‘blame’ firmly with parents with top gripes being:

50% Parents who expect ‘special treatment’ because they have children.
25% Parents who allow children to annoy those in seats behind.
15% Parents who board late and expect others to accommodate them.
10% Parents who allow children to run in the aisles or kick seats.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:

“When it comes to children we all love our own but would clearly prefer to avoid other people’s little monsters when travelling. While half our passengers would like us to divide our cabins up into ‘adult’ and ‘family’ areas it is not operationally possible due to our free seating policy, with optional priority boarding. However, with clear demand for ‘child free’ flights Ryanair will introduce child free flights on high frequency routes from the start of our winter schedule in October.”

A BEAUTY FROM THE PAST

ANYONE BELIEVE THIS ONE ?

Fergie’s amazing ref peace pact

ALEX FERGUSON has agreed to become the Life President of the Referees' Association.
In a shock move, the Manchester United boss accepted the role in an effort to end his long-running feud with officials.

I RESPECT YOU JIMMY !
Under the terms of his appointment, he must promise to serve as an ambassador for all referees and their assistants - and try not to criticise their performances after matches.

That may be difficult for Fergie, who has had numerous run-ins with officials during his management career.

He is still serving the five-match touchline ban he received, along with a £30,000 fine, from the FA for slating ref Martin Atkinson after United's recent defeat at Chelsea.

But a senior member of the RA said: "Sir Alex does appreciate the work we do, even though we sometimes do get it wrong. It's an olive branch on both sides. Having spoken to Sir Alex, we know he is determined to change his ways and we believe this appointment is a step along the road to doing so.

"He told us he is getting fed up of having to travel down to London to attend disciplinary hearings and says the money he pays out in fines could be better spent on wine."

In yesterday's Sun, Ferguson was complaining about referees again. But a United insider explained: "Those comments were before he had agreed to take on the Life Presidency of the Referees' Association.

"Sir Alex is a changed man. He has seen the light and now realises what a tough job refs have."

Ferguson has also agreed to give a talk to his fellow Premier League managers, including Arsenal's Arsene Wenger, about respecting referees.

The Referees' Association is a voluntary body, run by refs for refs.

Planet of the Apps

A GORILLA prods the new toy which scientists hope will transform the way primates are kept alert and happy in zoos - an iPad.

Animal behaviour experts handed out the gadgets to five apes in an experiment.

The super-smart gorillas quickly learned to turn the screens on and off and seem fascinated by the colours and pictures.

Amazingly not a SINGLE one of the five tablets which download apps has been broken since being given out at Port Lympne wild animal park three weeks ago.

Head keeper Phil Ridges said yesterday: "We thought they would bang them on rocks but they carry them round as if they were babies."

Boffins at the University of Kent, Canterbury, are behind the trial, which is being monitored by Apple.

TELL CANADA TO END ITS SHAMEFUL SEAL SLAUGHTER

For thousands of years, harp seals have migrated from Greenland down the coast of Canada, stopping each spring to give birth on the ice floes. Every year, a band of fishers descends on the ice to beat hundreds of thousands of seals to death and sell the animals' pelts on the international fur market. Sealers routinely hook baby seals in the eye, cheek, or mouth and drag them across the ice, often while the animals are still conscious. Many of the seals killed in the massacre are only a few weeks old.

Baby seals stand no chance against club-wielding seal hunters—pups must look on as fellow seals are bludgeoned to death only to then meet the same bloody fate. The commercial seal slaughter is an off-season profit venture for the fishing industry, and it accounts for less than 1 percent of Newfoundland's economy. The seal slaughter is not a subsistence activity for native peoples—Inuit sealing accounts for only about 3 percent of the annual slaughter.

The price of seal fur is plummeting as international outrage against the seal slaughter rises. The U.S. and the European Union have banned seal products, and world leaders such as President Barack Obama and His Holiness The Dalai Lama have denounced the massacre.

The annual seal slaughter will continue unless people like you speak out and take action to stop it, so please add your voice to the global outcry against Canada's shameful seal massacre. Please write to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Canadian ambassadors around the world to demand that they bring the massacre to an immediate end.

New York (CNN) -- The parents of a murder victim are suing Facebook after a paramedic pleaded guilty to photographing their daughter's corpse and posting the image to the social networking site, according to court documents.
Caroline Wimmer, 26, was found by her parents, Ronald and Martha, after she was strangled with a hair-dryer cord in March 2009 in Staten Island, New York.
Paramedic Mark Musarella -- who responded to their corresponding emergency call -- later pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after posting to Facebook the photographs he took, the documents said.
"All I want is my daughter's picture back," Martha Wimmer told CNN. "I want it destroyed," noting that the image is no longer posted on the site.
The couple is suing Facebook in an effort to force the company to turn over the image, identify who may have downloaded the photograph and prevent the image from being further disseminated, according to the couple's attorney Ravi Batra.
They "would like to move on," Batra said, adding that "it's very tough to heal when you know there are sick people out in the world look at their dead daughter's image."
But the social networking site could be protected by the 1996 Communications Decency Act, which says "no provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider."
Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes said, "The case is without merit." "We will fight it vigorously," he added.
The parents are also suing their daughter's convicted murderer, Calvin Lawson, paramedic Musarella, the city of New York and Greenleaf Arms Incorporated -- the company that owns the apartment building where Wimmer's body was found.
The pair are also suing Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano and Richmond University Medical Center, where Musarella had been employed.
"This lawsuit assumes traditional defendants as well as nontraditional defendants, including the City of New York and Facebook, that are unique to this case arising out of cybercrime," Batra said.
Connie Pankratz, a spokeswoman for the city's law department, called the situation "tragic." "We extend our sympathy to the family," she said.
Pankratz said the city has "not yet received the legal papers, but will review them thoroughly upon receipt."
Meanwhile, Musarella has forfeited his EMT certification and was ordered to 200 hours of community service.
The image was discovered by an acquaintance of Musarella, who alerted Richmond University Medical Center, according to Batra.
Wimmer's murderer, Lawson, is serving 25 years-to-life.
Martha Wimmer said Tuesday that she is traveling to the state capitol in support of pending legislation that would enact harsher penalties for a public worker who broadcasts or publishes an image of a crime scene outside their official duties.
The law would raise the offense to a Class E felony.

This is a Depeche Mode Urn that I made this week. It really is a nice urn and one of the best art urns I have completed to date I think. The customer was so nice too, I am blessed to be able to make these art urns for people and I love what I do. This was a very cool urn and I am so glad that the customer "got it" and looked at the site and got it, people are starting to see the art for what it is and putting the tattoo art and the urn thing together. It is taking longer than I want but I am so glad that it is finally working. This urn is glazed inside so that they can put flowers in it as well. If you want to see a complete list of art urns I produce you can visit the urn page in my site here:  http://www.tootallspottery.com/ceramic_tattoo_art_gallery.html

Amazon beats Apple and Google with cloud music launch

Amazon has beaten both Apple and Google with a surprise launch of a new cloud music service, Cloud Player, which allows people to store their entire music collection online and access it from multiple devices.

The launch of cloud-based music storage system has been long expected from either Apple or Google. However, Amazon has stolen both technology giants’ respective thunder by rolling out its Cloud Player streaming and storage service in the US.

The online retailer has unveiled the service, which allows users to upload their existing music library and thousands of other songs purchased through all online stores, including Apple’s iTunes, and listen to them via Cloud Player on any Android smartphone or computer.

"Our customers have told us they don't want to download music to their work computers or phones because they find it hard to move music around to different devices," said Bill Carr, vice president of Music and Movies at Amazon. "Now, whether at work, home, or on the go, customers can buy music from Amazon MP3, store it in the cloud and play it anywhere."

Cloud Player is free of charge to Amazon account holders and currently only available in the US – with a UK launch date unknown.

Amazon account holders start with 5 GB of ‘Cloud Drive’ storage space (the equivalent of approximately 1,000 songs) to upload their digital music library and those who purchase an Amazon MP3 album will be upgraded to 20 GB space. New Amazon MP3 purchases saved directly to Cloud Drive are stored for free and do not count against a customer's storage quota. Additional storage plans start at $20 a year.

Katie Price has reportedly asked her new boyfriend to marry her

The 32-year-old serial divorc̩e - who split from her husband Alex Reid in January after just 11 months of marriage Рwas first spotted with 25-year-old Argentinean model Leandro Penna at Sir Elton John's post-Oscars party last month but is already hoping to settle down with him.

The pair were spotted partying with Katie’s ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers earlier this week at a bash hosted by adult TV station Babestation at London's Merah nightclub, where the former glamour model vomited in the fire exit before popping the question in restaurant Balans.

A source said: "Katie kept saying, 'Marry me. Come on, why don't we just go and get married?'

"It's like Alex Reid never existed, but they aren't even divorced yet."

Katie - who has three children, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and three-year-old Princess Tiaamii, from previous relationships –recently declared her love for Leandro.

She tweeted: "Es todo un tierno. Lo amo," which roughly translates as "It's all tender. I love him."

Here are few more quotes from this train wreck of a life

"If I stop being famous it won't matter because I'll still have my children and a husband [Alex] who loves me."

"Well, the truth is I didn't even attempt to say hello to her [Posh] as I was busy talking to Simon Cowell and his then girlfriend Terri, who were on my table." [Lucky ol' Simon, getting to sit sit at HER table ..... lol]

"I had looked forward to getting new boobs but now I had to have yet another op. I hated to think about what my poor body had been through in the past seven years - what with having three children and all the surgery." [What a martyr]

"I've always had relationships and made the guy wait a month before I sleep with him, wanting to know he respects me and it isn't just about having sex with Katie Price or Jordan, but I didn't feel I needed to be like that with Alex. Even though I had only just met him, something told me things were going to be serious between us. And so, just hours after meeting for the first time, we spent the night together."

Cruelty to elderly circus elephant caught on video

A hidden camera has recorded footage of circus workers in the UK kicking a 57-year-old elephant, and striking her with a metal pitchfork.

Shocking new ADI cruelty exposé shames UK circus industry from Animal Defenders on Vimeo.

Animal Defenders International (ADI) released footage from behind the scenes at the winter quarters of Bobby Roberts Super Circus, (in Polebrook, Northamptonshire) showing Anne, an Asian elephant, being repeatedly struck while tethered to the floor by a short chain. During a three-and-a-half week period 48 strikes were recorded.

The elephant, who suffers from arthritis, was chained during the entire period, only able to take one step forward or backwards.

Anne was captured in the wild, in Sri Lanka, as a baby. When she was young, she was one of several elephants performing with Bobby Roberts Super Circus, but she is now Britain's last circus elephant.

The video also shows workers striking horses and ponies, and one is seen spitting at a camel.

I tried to make the tribal strip a blue by painting blue ink over the red ink but it turned it a very dark purple almost black (looks pretty good actually I think) so what I did was I painted the upper part of the piece with blue ink and then put a white wash over the names and writing.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il sends $500,000 in aid to Japan

Is Kim Jong-il, the son of a Anti-Japanese freedom fighter forgoing the past and showing compassion for the Japanese, or is he pulling a power play to make Japan look as though it is subservient to North Korea, and need their help, despite the fact that North Korean population continues to starve and suffer.

For years now, there has been no diplomatic relations between Japan and North Korea. The leadership in North Korea usually refers to Japan as a “war monger.” The tension between the two nations stems from the Japanese 35-year colonial rule over the Korean Peninsula in the first half of the 20th century.

According to statistics from the Bank of Korea, North Korea’s $500,000 donation is equivalent to the annual salary of more than 500 of its citizens in 2009.

Presumably he used his own credit card to make the donation ...... one of only two believed to be in existence in N. Korea, the other is thought to be in the possession of wife no.3 of The Glorious Leader, Ko Young-hee.

TO PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE ....... SINGER GWEN STAFANI DONATED $1M TO THE TSUNAMI FUND.
