Chaos begins by throwing, dripping and splattering paint to create layers of random shapes and patterns. The process continues until images or rhythms are suggested by the random patterns. The next stage clarifies the image or rhythm. The final stage reaffirms the energy and movement within the painting. Every painting provides a fresh experience, an opportunity to explore chaos and to reorganize that chaos into a state of balance. The language of the purely abstract form and the human figure provides me with a vocabulary to communicate my passion for movement through space and manipulating shapes and forms, light and textures.
